Exiles screening

The City of Angels Film Festival took place this past weekend at the Directors Guild of America on Sunset Blvd.  As one of the programmers I suggested screening of The Exiles and moderated the post-screening conversation. On the panel was D. J. Waldie and here are his blog reflections of the event: City of Exiles

Tommy Reynolds and Clydean Parker in Kent Mackenzie's THE EXILES (1961). The bar was The Ritz in the Los Angeles community of Bunker Hill. Charles Burnett and Sherman Alexie present a Milestone Films release. The film was restored from the original 35mm materials by Ross Lipman and the UCLA Film & Television Archive.
